The iPoint Ultra Hybrid DVR is a high-end next generation of IP PC-based systems using H.264 hardware compression. H.264 is the latest and best compression codec available. The hardware compression technology allows the system to use less CPU power by utilizing capture cards to handle the burden of producing video. This technology allows the DVR to be expandable to 64 channels at 30 fps per channel and ensures all channels support real time recording at 2CIF.

The iPoint Ultra Hybrid supports the newest high resolution VGA and DVI monitors up to 1920 x1080. These high resolution monitors improve visibility for multi-channel video when viewing more than 16 cameras on a screen. This full high resolution support cannot be achieved from a contemporary standalone DVR. The iPoint Ultra Hybrid supports a virtual matrix (TV Client). Each TV Client can have 4 VGA, DVI, or HDMI outputs and 6 TV Clients can be connected at the same time. Each monitor out can have 16 programmable video channels displayed at once. With 24 monitors, it can display 384 cameras simultaneously with the TV Client.

Fully implemented networking capabilities allow remote administration, playback, and export using the included PC client S/W. Live viewing is supported on a variety of client platforms, including internet browsers. Versatile high-speed search operations include time and date, event list, thumbnail, and smart search. Extensive scheduling features allow customizing of weekday, weekend, and special event recording.
